On Monday I bought my pet guinea pig to school. He is a baby and he is really cute. He is black and his name is Bolt.
I got him because I have been waiting a really long time to get a guinea pig so me and Dad went to a pet shop in town and we looked around for a pet. I said 'can I get a guniea pig?', Dad said 'Yes!".
There were ginger and black ones, 2 black and two ginger. I didn't want a ginger one because they have red eyes so I got a black one.
We needed to get him some food, like pellets and we got a cage to keep Bolt in.
Bolt gets fed in the morning and at night and he needs water. I have to clean his cage which means I check to see how clean the hay is, and if there is poo, I take that hay out and put new hay in.
My favourite thing about having Bolt is having a small friend to look after and he squeaks when he is happy and when he is hungry.
